Summary

The main objective of the project is to understand the impact of elevated CO2 on the mycorrhizal community and their signalling potential (metabolites, proteins, lipids), and their carbon storage compounds. 

We have been using stocked soils from the first 10 years of EucFACE to look at mycorrhizal fungal communities (DNA) and their correlation to untargetted and targeted exometabolomics, exoproteomics and exolipidomics.

Observations have been made up to 4x per year across the first ten years of the experiment.

None yet. We just extracted all of the samples in December 2025.
